The three Jashgawronsky Brothers have unknown origins. All we know is that they were abandoned separately in front of the gate of the Khachatur Abovyan Orphanage in Yerevan, Armenia.

At first there was no evidence that the three were brothers because they were found at intervals of about ten months. However, after a careful examination held by Professor Christof Pediatrian, the doctor in charge of the orphanage, an unmistakable sign was found which revealed their family tie: a treble clef-shaped birthmark on their perineo!

They grew up under the rigid control of Mrs Karapetian, the directress of the orphanage (they can still hear her footsteps in the night), who also sent them to severe music lessons with Prof Alga Pescaturian, well-known Armenian composer and hard vodka drinker as well as inventor of weird musical contraptions.

In his small flat used as an improvised museum in Nalbandian Street, we can still admire the wonderful creations produced by the maestro's controversial imagination.

Some years ago the three brothers were forced to leave the orphanage because of their age (21 years!), so they began roaming across Europe in search of fortune, until they finally settled down in Italy.
